The Caped Crusader is on the move once again.
"The Batman: Part II," the highly anticipated DC sequel that brings back Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, has been hit with another delay and will no longer be released in 2027.
Director Matt Reeves on July 15 shared new camera test footage from the film, which ends with the reveal of its new release date: Feb. 18, 2028.
"The Batman: Part II" will now arrive nearly six years after "The Batman." The film had already been delayed several times: It was previously scheduled for October 2025 before being delayed to October 2026, then pushed again to October 2027.

The camera test footage released by Reeves shows Pattinson's Batman slowly turning as dramatic music plays. He appears to be surrounded by falling snow, suggesting a winter setting for the film.

'The Batman' movie delays follow DC Universe disappointment
News of the delay comes at a time when DC needs the "Batman" sequel to be a hit more than ever.
In June, DC's "Supergirl," the second movie released as part of the newly launched DC Universe, disappointed at the domestic box office with a weak $37 million opening weekend. "The Batman: Part II" is viewed as a more surefire box office bet, though that won't necessarily be of much help for the wider DC Universe franchise: Pattinson's Batman exists in a separate continuity from the main DC universe world occupied by Milly Alcock's Supergirl and David Corenswet's Superman.

Pattinson made his debut as the Caped Crusader in 2022's "The Batman," which grossed more than $770 million at the worldwide box office and spawned the Emmy-winning HBO series "The Penguin," in which Colin Farrell reprised his role of the title villain.
Farrell is set to return as The Penguin in "The Batman: Part II," which also stars Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan.
