On Sept. 27, 1996, viewers first met a teenage witch named Sabrina. Starring Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick, Nate Richert, and more, *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* ran for four seasons on ABC and three more seasons on The WB, picking up two Emmy nominations during its run.

Thirty years later, the fantasy sitcom’s legacy lives on. Much of the cast reunited earlier this year to celebrate the milestone, while episodes remain available to stream on Hulu.

In honor of the show’s 30th anniversary, see what its stars have been up to since the final episode aired in 2003.

Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina Spellman)

After spending five seasons on *Clarissa Explains It All*, Melissa Joan Hart assumed the title role on *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*, playing a high school student who discovers she has magical powers.

After wrapping her seven-season run as Sabrina Spellman in 2003, the *Drive Me Crazy* (1999) star went on to appear in projects including *Nine Dead* (2009) and *The Casagrandes*; starred opposite Joey Lawrence on *Melissa & Joey*; played lead roles in a slew of Lifetime movies; won $1 million for charity on *Celebrity Wheel of Fortune*; and directed episodes of *The Goldbergs*, *Young Sheldon*, and Paramount+‘s *iCarly* revival. In March 2023, Hart competed as Lamp on *The Masked Singer*.

More recently, Hart starred in the Lifetime thrillers *The Bad Guardian* (2024) and *Killing the Competition* (2025), serving as an executive producer on the latter. She also appeared in Netflix’s holiday rom-com A* Merry Little Ex-Mas* (2025), which she produced with her mother, Paula Hart.

Nick Bakay (Salem)

Nick Bakay joined *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* as the voice of Salem the cat, while also working behind the scenes as a writer and producer on the series.

The actor and writer, who previously appeared on shows including *In Living Color* and *Coach*, went on to voice Norbert on The Angry Beavers and make appearances on *The King of Queens* and *‘Til Death*, as well as in the 2011 film *Zookeeper*.

Bakay eventually shifted much of his focus behind the camera. From 2013 to 2021, he served as an executive producer and writer on the CBS sitcom *Mom*. He later executive produced *Young Sheldon* and served as a consulting producer on *The Kominsky Method*.

More recently, Bakay co-created the Max comedy *Bookie* with Chuck Lorre, serving as an executive producer and writer throughout its two-season run from 2023 to 2025. He then joined Netflix’s *Leanne* as an executive producer, writer, and director.

Caroline Rhea (Hilda Spellman)

Caroline Rhea joined *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* as Sabrina’s fun-loving aunt, the witch Hilda Spellman.

Since hanging up her spellbook, the former *Biggest Loser* host has appeared in films including *Christmas With the Kranks* (2004), *The Perfect Man* (2005), and *Love N’ Dancing *(2009), while voicing Linda Lynn-Fletcher throughout Disney’s *Phineas and Ferb*. She later starred on Disney Channel’s *Sydney to the Max* and recurred on *Lopez vs. Lopez*. In 2020, Rhea reprised her role as Hilda in two episodes of Netflix’s *Chilling Adventures of Sabrina*.

Rhea reunited with her former *Sabrina* costar Beth Broderick for the 2024 Hallmark movie *Holiday Mismatch*, returned to voice Linda for the 2025 revival of *Phineas and Ferb*, and recurred as Gina on the CBS drama *Sheriff Country* during its 2025-26 season.

Beth Broderick (Zelda Spellman)

After roles in *The Bonfire of the Vanities* (1990), *Hearts Afire*, and *The 5 Mrs. Buchanans*, Beth Broderick joined *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* as Sabrina’s other aunt, the levelheaded witch Zelda Spellman.

Broderick went on to appear in *Timber Falls *(2007) and on shows including *Lost*, *Cold Case*, *Castle, Under the Dome, *and* Sharp Objects*. She reunited with Hart on *Melissa & Joey *and with Rhea on *Chilling Adventures of Sabrina*, where the pair played alternate versions of Zelda and Hilda. Recent credits include episodes of *Walker*, *Shrill*, *Criminal Minds*, and *Love & Death*.

In 2024, she appeared in the Netflix holiday rom-com *The Merry Gentlemen *and reunited with Rhea once again for the Hallmark movie *Holiday Mismatch*.

Nate Richert (Harvey Dwight Kinkle)

*Sabrina the Teenage Witch* found its Harvey Dwight Kinkle in Nate Richert, who made his onscreen debut as Sabrina’s longtime love interest and appeared throughout the show’s seven-season run.

After Sabrina, Richert appeared in films including *Lovely & Amazing *(2001) and *Survival Island *(2002), as well as episodes of *The Tony Danza Show*, *Fantasy Island*, and *Touched by an Angel*. He largely stepped away from acting to focus on music, working as a singer-songwriter and releasing several albums and singles.

In 2026, Richert reunited with former Sabrina costar Curtis Andersen to launch *The Nate & Curtis Show*, a weekly podcast featuring behind-the-scenes memories from the sitcom and conversations about their current creative projects.

Jenna Leigh Green (Libby Chessler)

Jenna Leigh Green signed on to play *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*‘s Libby Chessler, the school’s resident bully. During her three-year run on the show, Green also lent her voice to episodes of *Extreme Ghostbusters*.

She went on to appear on *Dharma & Greg*, *ER*, *Cold Case*, *Quantico*, *Bones*, *The Loudest Voice*, *Gossip Girl*, and *Blue Bloods*. Green also made her Broadway debut as Nessarose in *Wicked* in 2006.

Martin Mull (Willard Kraft)

Martin Mull led Westbridge High as *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*‘s Willard Kraft, a role he took on after establishing himself with roles on *Fernwood 2 Night* and *Roseanne*, as well as the 1985 cult classic *Clue*.

Mull continued to work steadily in television, appearing on *The Ellen Show*, *‘Til Death*, *Two and a Half Men*, *Arrested Development*, *Community*, and *Brooklyn Nine-Nine*, among many others. In 2016, he earned an Emmy nomination for playing political operative Bob Bradley on *Veep*. Mull was also an accomplished painter and musician, exhibiting his artwork throughout his life.

Mull died at his Los Angeles home on June 17, 2024, at the age of 80 following a long illness. After his death, Hart remembered her former costar as an “immense talent” and credited him with helping to shape her work ethic. A documentary about Mull, *Who Is Martin Mull?*, will debut on Netflix in October 2026.

Soleil Moon Frye (Roxie King)

Soleil Moon Frye joined *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* in 2000 as Sabrina’s college roommate, Roxie King.

The former child star, who rose to fame on *Punky Brewster*, followed up her run on *Sabrina* with voice work on *The Proud Family*, *Bratz*, *Planet Sheen*, and *Robot Chicken*. She reprised her signature role for Peacock’s 2021 *Punky Brewster* revival and returned as Zoey for Disney+’s *The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder*, which wrapped its four-season run in 2026.

Frye has also moved behind the camera, directing the 2021 documentary *Kid 90*, which drew on home movies she shot while growing up in Hollywood. In 2025, she directed and executive produced the two-part Paramount+ documentary *The Carters: Hurts to Love You*, about Nick and Aaron Carter’s family. She also appeared as herself on *Hacks* in 2026.

Elisa Donovan (Morgan Cavanaugh)

A few years after making her big-screen breakthrough as Amber in *Clueless* (1995), Elisa Donovan played Sabrina’s roommate Morgan Cavanaugh on *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*.

Donovan went on to appear in shows including *Judging Amy*, *NCIS*, *The Lake*, and *In Gayle We Trust*, and reunited with Hart for a 2014 episode of *Melissa & Joey*. In 2021, she published the memoir *Wake Me When You Leave*, about navigating career setbacks, heartbreak, and the death of her father. The following year, she competed on *Worst Cooks in America*.

In 2023, Donovan reprised her *Clueless* role alongside Alicia Silverstone for a Rakuten Super Bowl commercial that recreated the movie’s memorable classroom debate scene.

Lindsay Sloane (Valerie Birkhead)

After early appearances on *The Wonder Years* and *Mr. Rhodes*, Lindsay Sloane joined *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* in its second season as Sabrina’s friend Valerie Birkhead.

Sloane went on to play Big Red in *Bring It On* (2000) and appeared in comedies including *She’s Out of My League* (2010), *The Other Guys* (2010), and *Horrible Bosses* (2011) and its 2014 sequel. On television, she starred opposite Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon on *The Odd Couple* and had a recurring role on *Playing House*.

In 2023, Sloane returned to *The Wonder Years* universe with a guest spot on ABC’s reboot of the series. More recently, she appeared alongside Donald Faison, Rainn Wilson, Jimmi Simpson, and Lesley Ann Warren in the 2026 comedy *Home Delivery*.

David Lascher (Josh Blackhart)

David Lascher played Josh Blackhart, the manager of Bean There, Brewed That who eventually became one of Sabrina’s love interests. Before *Sabrina*, he was known for roles on *Hey Dude* and *Blossom**.*

He later reunited with Hart — and his *Blossom* costar Joey Lawrence — for a recurring role on *Melissa & Joey*. Lascher also moved behind the camera, cowriting, directing, and producing the 2014 drama *Sister*. More recently, he appeared on *The Other Two* in 2023 and guest-starred on *Marshals* in 2026.

Alimi Ballard (Quizmaster Albert)

Alimi Ballard appeared in 26 episodes of *Sabrina the Teenage Witch* as Quizmaster Albert, who helped Sabrina prepare for her witch’s license during the show’s second season.

After *Sabrina*, Ballard became known for playing FBI agent David Sinclair on the CBS drama *Numb3rs*. He later appeared on *CSI*, *The Catch, Queen Sugar,* and *Queen of the South*, among other series.

In recent years, Ballard had recurring roles on *Law & Order* and *The Family Business* and guest-starred on *Grey’s Anatomy*. In September 2026, he returned to daytime television — where he began his career on loving in the 1990s — with a new role as William Baines on *General Hospital*.
