Chase Brown is entering his age-26 season and finds himself right in the mix of a debated tier of running backs. De’Von Achane, Saquon Barkley, Omarion Hampton, Derrick Henry, and Jeremiyah Love are all in a similar range and how you order them will prove critical to the shape your backfield takes.
Should I Draft Chase Brown in Fantasy Football?
Honestly, I’d be completely fine taking Brown at the very front of that line. You simply don’t have to worry about workload concerns with him and that’s comforting. He has cleared 225 carries in consecutive seasons and just reached 1,000 rushing yards for the first time, a feat he accomplished even with Joe Burrow’s injuries heavily limiting the creativity and overall ceiling of the Cincinnati offense.
He’s cleared 50 catches in consecutive seasons, and these aren’t just harmless dump-off receptions. Racking up nine receiving touchdowns on his 123 catches over those two years points to high-leverage value in where he is being targeted.

Even with Burrow missing time last year, Brown still posted seven top-12 weekly finishes at the position. If Joe Cool stays reasonably healthy this season, Brown stands to gain in a meaningful way because the red zone trips and scoring opportunities will multiply.

That brings up a broader point about drafting from this roster: I want heavy exposure to this Bengals offense, and my interest certainly doesn’t end with Brown. I currently have Burrow ranked well ahead of the general consensus, and Tee Higgins is a name I’m landing on a lot in Round 3.
I’m breaking ties with those attached to this offense and no, I’m not worried about buying multiple pieces within the same draft.
