Donald Trump’s cry for help in the Iran war has Seth Meyers very amused. The President called on NATO countries this week to aid the United States in the Middle East conflict mentioning his concern for the organization’s future if they can’t contribute to this cause.

Donald’s demands have Seth scratching his head with the latter jokingly calling him a “Geopolitical mastermind.” The President has a history of calling out other countries, and the longtime trade organization has often felt his wrath.

Seth Meyers thinks President Trump asking NATO for help is hypocritical

The President appears to be doing a complete 180 on NATO. On Monday’s edition of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the comedian played numerous clips about Donald from the past, sharing his feelings about NATO. Among the remarks Donald made were that the group was “old,” “fat,” and “sloppy,” while adding that they’re an organization the US “don’t need.”

Seth compares the President’s latest plea for NATO assistance to breaking up with someone but asking them to help you move. Late Night has frequently taken shots at the President and the Trump administration. Last week, Seth mocked Pete Hegseth, calling out the Secretary of Defense for his excessive spending.

Donald has asked for NATO to help open the Strait of Hormuz, with the Iran war now entering its third week. Gas prices around the US have skyrocketed since the President’s decision to declare war on Iran. The Trump administration has called his decision a necessary step, though many citizens are divided on that front.

The President’s harsh words about NATO date back to 2016, around the time he won his first term in the White House. So far, none of the NATO countries have agreed to the request, to the President’s dismay. Seth joked that Donald is friends only with some nations when it serves his best interests.
