Prince William reveals one song that reminds him of moments with Princess Diana

Prince William has seldom discussed his late mother in public, but he has shared one particular song that brings back memories of her. The beloved royal passed away in 1997 following a car accident in Paris, leaving behind her sons, who were just 15 and 12 at the time.
Diana, Princess of Wales, held a cherished place in the Royal Family and created many treasured memories with her two sons.
During a guest spot on the Apple Fitness+ podcast, Time to Walk, William discussed how Diana would play music during car rides to ease the nerves he and his younger brother felt about heading back to boarding school after extended breaks at home.
William recalled one track that has remained firmly lodged in his memory from those car journeys.

He said: "When I was younger, Harry and I, we were at boarding school. And my mother used to play all sorts of songs to kind of while away the anxiety of going back to school.
"And one of the songs I massively remember and has stuck with me all this time, and I still, to this day, still quite enjoy secretly, is Tina Turner's 'The Best' because sitting in the backseat, singing away, it felt like a real family moment,", reports the Express.
He added: "And my mother, she'd be driving along, singing at the top of her voice. And we'd even get the policeman in the car; he'd be occasionally singing along, as well.

"You'd be singing and listening to the music right the way out into the gates of school, when they dropped you off. And, and that's when reality kind of sunk in that you really were going back to school because before that, you're lost in songs."
Echoing his late mother's parenting approach, William recently accompanied his 12-year-old son, Prince George, to The Passage's annual Christmas party.
The occasion held deep personal significance for the future King, as Princess Diana had first introduced him to the homelessness charity at roughly the same age George is now.
George added his signature to the visitors' book on the very same page where his father and late grandmother had signed their names back in December 1993.
