In Montecio on Friday night, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended a party hosted by Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos in celebration of Beef season two. At the event, they posed for photographs with Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant. Harry and Meghan’s appearance at a Netflix event comes amid speculation surrounding the future of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s partnership with the streamer, though it was recently announced the couple were developing a polo-themed drama.
Representatives for both the Sussexes and Netflix have denied tension between the couple and the streamer. “I would say don’t believe whatever you read,” Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said about Variety’s report that Netflix had a “falling out” with the Sussexes. “Maybe we should all do a little fact-checking. But here’s the thing: We still have a relationship with them, we have movies in development with them, we have an amazing doc with them, they have things in development on the TV and film side.” She added, “There’s no juicy story there.”

Other attendees at the party hosted by Sarandos included Beef season 2 stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, and Charles Melton, and Beef creator Lee Sung Jin. In addition, Justin Trudeau, Katy Perry, and Nick Kroll, and other celebrities were spotted at the event in Montecito.
