With her back turned, one of her sons reached out and started to drink salt from the container
Now, Stokes tells PEOPLE how she handled the situation with her son
Morgan Stokes was making cookies with her kids when she turned around for a second — and her phone caught her son sneaking a salty snack.
In a now-viral video shared to her TikTok, the 30-year-old mom was making cookies with her two older sons, Rhodes, 5, and Parker, 3. The three of them could be seen standing around a black KitchenAid mixer atop a wooden table.
At one point during the clip, Stokes walks away from the table to grab something from the sink. In the brief moment his mom's back is turned, one of her sons reaches down and grabs the container of salt, tilting his head back. He begins chugging the salt, eating some before putting it back on the table.
"Went to edit this cute video of us making cookies and this is what I find 💀💀💀," Stokes wrote over the clip.

In her caption, she added, "Me blissfully unaware in the background."
Below, in her comment section, many joked that her son looked too comfortable eating the salt, insinuating that he'd done it before.
"He didn't even flinch. This ain't his first rodeo," wrote one person. "Hear me out: that was not his first time doing that," joked another.

A third pointed out that after Stokes' son ate the salt, he just went on making the cookies as normal.
"Me sitting here waiting for him to realize his mistake and make a face, but no he just kept on vibing," the user said.

Now, Stokes tells PEOPLE she was making chocolate chip cookies with her sons when she turned around for just a moment.
"I had no idea until I watched the video back the next morning," says Stokes of the moment she caught on camera. She adds that she'd never seen him interested in salt in the past.
"Not that I have seen before," she explains.
As for whether he'll do it again? Stokes explains that she had a heart-to-heart with her son about eating salt in the future.
"No, we definitely had a talk about it after I caught up," she says. "Mostly about spreading germs."
