Michael B. Jordanâs mother is âused toâ people lusting after him, he jokes.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, Jan. 12, the Sinners actor, 38, discussed attending the prior nightâs Golden Globe Awards, where host Nikki Glaser made a raunchy joke about him.
âI canât believe it, we got two Michael B. Jordans,â said Glaser, 41, in her opening monologue, referring to his roles in Sinners. âWhen I saw that, I was like Nikki B. Jerkinâ because that was awesome.â
Jordan's mom Donna could then be seen in the crowd rolling her eyes, sipping her drink while the crowd laughed.
"I had fun, but my mom stole the show," Jordan said to Kimmel, 58, with a laugh. âI'm pretty sure all her girlfriends are, like, texting her and sending her every meme and every clip possible."

"Does your mom get uncomfortable when women openly lust after you?" asked Kimmel.
Jordan â who was crowned PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive in 2020 â admitted itâs a common occurrence. "I think by now she's used to it," the Creed star said. "So she just gives a little eye roll and just kinda keeps it pushing. She doesn't really respond too much."

Asked about the pros and cons of bringing his mom as a date to award shows, Jordan said, âWe went to an afterparty, we had a little fun, she was dancing and stuff. Mama had a good time. I don't really think it's a downside to bringing mom to an event, only upside."
During her monologue, Glaser did acknowledge the inappropriateness of the joke and that Donna was there as Jordan's date. She followed it up by saying, âIâm so sorry. That shouldâve been a DM.â
The comedian didnât hold back in her opening to the Globes ceremony, her second time hosting in a row. She roasted One Battle After Another nominee Leonardo DiCaprio for dating younger women (quipping, âWe don't know anything else about you!â) and dubbed ceremony broadcaster CBS the "newest place to see B.S. news.â
Jordan was nominated in the Globesâ Best Actor in a Motion Picture â Drama category, one of seven nominations for Sinners. The Ryan Coogler-directed hit took home the prizes for Best Original Score and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
The Black Panther starâs upcoming screen projects include a voice role in the animated film Swapped and directing and starring in a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair (expected in theaters March 2027).
