Liam Gallagher is apologizing for a controversial social media post.
The Oasis vocalist posted an apology on X on Tuesday after writing the anti-Asian slur "'ch--gch--g" in a previous post.
"Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before," Gallagher wrote. "It wasn’t intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. peace and love LG x."
The "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" singer's original post only contained the aforementioned slur, and came around the same time as seemingly nonsensical posts that simply said short phrases like "SLINGDING" and "Lip lip."

In a response post, a fan told Gallagher, "liam you can’t say that," to which the musician responded, "Why."
When another fan asked what Gallagher's since-deleted tweet meant, the singer responded, "It’s an ancient thought process get on it."
Gallagher also said "Whatever" when a fan warned him that the tweet might get him "cancelled," and told another fan to "Chill out" when they told him that he was "gonna offend your own fans."

The "Supersonic" musician is no stranger to controversy. Gallagher has previously apologized for a homophobic tweet about Russian soccer hooligans, for posting a death threat to an Atletico Madrid player, and for insulting Coldplay, and has deleted other posts over the years, including one containing an ableist slur.
Last month, Gallagher apologized for trolling fans by teasing "big announcement" about Oasis on X that never actually arrived.
Gallagher's controversial posts came four days before Oasis kicked off its highly anticipated reunion tour in Cardiff, Wales on Friday. After 16 years of feuding and solo albums, Gallagher took the stage with his brother, Noel, who serves as the band's primary songwriter and guitarist.
