Kiefer Sutherland is said to be missing the Hollywood spotlight he once commanded. The 59-year-old actor is said to be eager to return to the cultural conversation that defined much of his career.

According to The Blast, Sutherland is still interested in reprising his role as Jack Bauer in a potential 24 revival. Although, the progress has been slow. An insider claimed that the actor misses the visibility and influence that came with being one of Hollywood’s biggest television stars.
“He’s got plenty of money, but he misses being on TV, and he misses being part of the bigger cultural conversation,” the source said. The insider added, “That stuff means a lot to him, and when it’s not a part of his life, he’s going to act out, and he’s going to generate negative headlines for himself. He can’t help it!”
Despite those claims, Sutherland has also spoken enthusiastically about the lasting legacy of The Lost Boys. In the 1987 film, he played David, the charismatic yet menacing leader of a gang of teenage vampires. In it, he lure newcomers into their dangerous world. His performance became one of the film’s defining elements and helped cement The Lost Boys as a cult horror classic.

Sutherland attended a performance of the Broadway musical adaptation of the film in June alongside his longtime partner, Cindy Vela. Speaking about the show’s enduring popularity, he said, “The success of and interest in ‘The Lost Boys’ has lasted an incredible 40 years.”
Sutherland has enjoyed a career spanning more than four decades, earning acclaim across film and television. He first rose to prominence with films including Stand by Me, The Lost Boys, and Flatliners. Later, he achieved global fame as Jack Bauer in the hit action series 24. The role earned him an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
