Joy Behar shared on The View that she lost 25 lbs. on a GLP-1 medication

After Whoopi Goldberg and Savannah Chrisley shared their weight-loss successes, Behar boasted, “We all did it!”

Although Behar didn’t share additional information about her weight-loss journey, the 83-year-old has long supported those who turn to GLP-1s

Joy Behar revealed that she lost 25 lbs. using a GLP-1.

On the Wednesday, Feb. 18 episode of The View, the co-hosts briefly opened up about their experiences taking a GLP-1 medication. GLP-1 is short for glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists, which work in the brain to impact satiety. Popular brands include Ozempic and Mounjaro.

“I did it because I was almost 300 pounds. and I’m looking good now!” Whoopi Goldberg said proudly.

Savannah Chrisley, who appeared on the talk show as a guest co-host, chimed in and said, “I lost 40 pounds.”

Behar, 83, then shared that she lost 25 lbs. on a GLP-1 before boasting, “We all did it!”

Behar and Goldberg aren’t the only View co-hosts who have used a GLP-1. Sunny Hostin previously shared she used Mounjaro for weight loss after gaining 40 lbs. during COVID.

Although Behar didn’t provide any additional information about her weight-loss journey, she has publicly supported the decision of other celebrities who chose to turn to GLP-1s.

Back in 2024, she and her fellow panelists defended Kelly Clarkson after the singer opened up about using a prescription medication for her weight loss and received a lot of criticism.

"They kick her behind when she's bigger, they kick her behind when she's lost the weight, and now they're kicking her behind because she said it out loud," Goldberg said.

"Diets do not work. I've been on diets up and down, up and down. You lose it, then you gain it back," Behar claimed. "Nobody wants to be fat except a sumo wrestler. It's uncomfortable, your clothes don't fit, everybody wants to lose weight."

Hostin added: "I don't think the personal health choices you make for yourself should be subject to discussion."
