John Boyega has revealed he and his wife have welcomed a baby boy shortly after giving an interview where he said they had a baby boy “on the way”
The Star Wars actor shared a video cradling his son on Instagram but did not reveal the baby’s name
Boyega also recently confirmed he secretly married nearly two years ago in a small ceremony, but did not confirm his wife’s identity, though his latest Instagram post features photos of actress Lashontae Heckard
John Boyega has revealed that he and his wife welcomed a baby boy “some time” ago as he shared the first glimpse of the little one.
Confirming the happy news in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, Oct. 14, Boyega, 34, wrote, “Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes. Also my sister is about to pop! Wish her well too! 🥰.”
“Back to feeding this big baby!” he added.
The last slide of the Instagram carousel featured a clip of Boyega cradling his new arrival and stroking their head. The Star Wars actor did not reveal the baby’s name.

The post also featured several photos of him posing with Lashontae Heckard, whom he was rumored to have tied the knot with when he shared earlier this month that he had secretly married two years ago.
In one of the snaps, the couple could be seen placing their hands on Heckard’s bump as they posed for a photo at what appeared to be a baby shower, with Heckard dressed in baby blue.
Heckard’s Instagram bio also reads, “Tae Boyega,” while in the comments section of Boyega’s post, the actress wrote, “love and blessings to my Blessing!!!!❤️.”

Fast and Furious actor Tyrese Gibson added, “Praise God!!!!! I love you both…. You guys are amazing already great parents and now it’s new favor and new blessings!!!!!! Congratulations on the new angel….. Jon sir you are applying a lot of pressure for a brother like me!!!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!! Lol.”
Boyega’s announcement comes after he shared that he had gotten married and had a baby boy on the way in an interview with The Guardian published on Oct. 4.

The Woman King star told the outlet that he’d been married “coming up two years now” and that he and his wife had a small ceremony, while not confirming the identity of his bride.
He also shared that he has two wedding rings: A two-toned band that holds priceless “sentimental” value and another band that he got later on.
“This is the one we decided to pick up spontaneously because I just wanted the ring on my finger, so we went to Walmart to get this,” he said of the two-toned band. “It was a lovely trip to Walmart. Shout out, Walmart Canoga Park!”
The happy news then continued when he revealed that he and his wife also had a baby “on the way.”
“We got a baby cooking,” he revealed, adding that they are preparing to welcome a baby boy. “My life is completely, completely fulfilled in terms of family. It’s been so nice with the timing.”
