Don't expect to see Jessica Simpson on The Bachelorette anytime soon.
The Nashville Canyon singer, 45, spoke to TMZ on Monday, Jan. 12 and shut down the idea of going on the hit ABC dating competition series following her divorce from ex-husband Eric Johnson, with whom she shares three children.
Following a question about whether she'd ever do The Bachelorette, Simpson expressed not needing help in order to find a date. "I have options," she said. "I'm good."

The TMZ reporter noted Simpson joining the show could be good for its ratings, but that didn't make a difference for the "With You" artist. "No, I don't care about that," she added.
Simpson confirmed to PEOPLE in January 2025 that she and Johnson were going their separate ways. The two share children Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 13, Ace Knute, 12, and Birdie Mae, 6.
In an October 2025 interview with PEOPLE pegged to her new Mystic Canyon fragrance, Simpson spoke about why she's not focused on age at this time in her life. "I feel like we get caught up in numbers," she said at the time.
"Like, 'Oh, at 45, would I think that I would be single again as a mom of three?' Absolutely not. That was not how I planned it," added Simpson. "But it's just a part of what destiny holds for me."
She also explained how the fragrance reflected a period of "self-discovery" for her. "This time in my life, I was meant to be independent in my self-discovery without anybody else's critiques, judgments or opinions," said the All's Fair actress.

"It was really about coming home to myself, being proud of that person, coming from a place of being just very honest and very vulnerable, and putting that into melodic form, but also using it in the brand," continued the businesswoman. "It has been really empowering."
In an interview with Extra the same month, Simpson gave a little more insight into her dating life. āI think I'm into younger men at the moment. When you're newly separated... I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older women, I'm discovering," she said. "I'm having fun!"
