Halle Berry is speaking candidly about what does and what doesn’t work for her in the bedroom on the new episode of the Sex with Emily podcast, which dropped on Tuesday, Feb. 24

During a Feb. 5 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress announced her engagement to Van Hunt, and she tells podcast host Emily Morse that he's "the best" sex she's ever had

She and the singer-songwriter were dating for five years before he proposed

Halle Berry is sharing one of her non-negotiables when it comes to sex with her fiancé Van Hunt.

During an appearance on the Sex with Emily podcast, published on Tuesday, Feb. 24, the Crime 101 actress admitted she’s reached a point in her life where certain things have simply taken priority.

“With age comes this, ‘I have zero f--ks to give attitude,’ ” Berry, 59, told sex and relationship expert Emily Morse in front of a live audience.

“We’re just done worrying about everybody else’s feelings, oxytocin leaves us, that which we have when we’re younger and we can take care of our babies and take care of our man, and take care of everybody else’s problems, that leaves our body and a beautiful thing happens,” she added.

Berry, who announced on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 5 that she and Hunt, 55, were engaged after five years of dating, explained why her relationship in the bedroom is "the best" sex she's ever had.

“We stop caring about all of that, so why is it better?” she asked, referring back to Morse’s original question of why sex is better at nearly 60.

“It’s better because I can now say to my partner, ‘Here’s what I want. Here’s what I don’t want. This feels good, this does not. You might have heard that that was a good thing to do to a woman’s vagina, but it’s actually not. Not mine, anyway,' ” the Monster's Ball star said.

Berry continued, “It’s having the confidence to show up for myself and to realize that I deserve an orgasm also. I know in our youth sometimes, everybody has faked it because you just want it to be done.”

“Sometimes you just want the pounding to stop, so you just say [comedically imitates orgasm] 'I'm good too,' and then you go find your vibrator in the bathroom, and you handle it yourself,” she said.

The actress continued, "We had to get there so he felt good about bringing us to orgasm, and we had to say that we did it so that he felt good about himself. But that's putting his needs before our own, and I don't do that anymore, I'm like 'I come first like you come first to you. We both deserve to have this be a mutually enjoyable experience.'"

During the Feb. 10 at the Los Angeles premiere of Crime 101, Berry explained how she knew Hunt, a singer-songwriter, was “the one.”

“You know, you get to be 54, you just kind of done it a few times, three, to be exact,” Berry told PEOPLE. “You just kind of know when it's right, 'cause you know when it's wrong.”

Berry was previously married to David Justice from 1993 to 1997; Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005; and Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016.

"After Van proposed, Halle needed a few months to get comfortable with the idea of getting married again," a source told PEOPLE after the announcement, adding that the proposal was "unexpected" and that Berry "really enjoys their relationship as it is."

The insider added that Berry and Hunt said when the wedding "will be small [and] meaningful with their closest friends and family.”
