Matt Kendrick put Callaway on blast after one of the largest equipment brands cut ties with Good Good Golf.

Kendrick, the CEO of Good Good Golf, tweeted for the first time in 11 years to tear down his company's former partner amid the fallout of a controversial advertisement. In the advert, co-founder Garrett Clark ran over to Alexis Miestowski, shoved her over, and then leaned over her to say “Do not touch my new driver.”

The advertisement was quickly deleted, but not before the internet could get their hands on it. The downfall spiraled from there, as Good Good merchandise was pulled from large retail shelves. The PGA Tour mutually agreed that Good Good should be yanked as the title sponsor from the Austin event in November.

The advertisement was for a Callaway driver, and the mega brand quickly launched an investigation into how the advertisement was posted while stating they would be ending their partnership with Good Good.

Kenrick took exception to the statement.

“Interesting that @CallawayGolf asks us to make an ad then approves it then asks us to take the fall then drops us in a coordinated media blitz and covers it up by giving a million dollars away thinking everyone will be ok with it,” Kendrick posted at 3:38 a.m. ET. “(The) 30 for 39 will be legendary.”

Callaway's parting statement said: "Over the past several days, we have listened and reflected deeply on the hurt and disappointment caused by the video we reposted. We heard from individuals who shared personal experiences related to violence against women, and their stories were powerful reminders that this issue touches the lives of far too many people.

"Unequivocally, violence against women is unacceptable and should never be trivialized, normalized, or used as entertainment."

Good Good Golf was set to be the first YouTube company to sponsor a PGA Tour event, as the winner of the now-canceled show ‘Big Break’ was set to earn a spot at the Good Good Championship.

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp said that the company initially did not take accountability for its actions.

“I think what we saw was concerning,” said Rolapp at the Tour Championship. “Is clearly not aligned with PGA TOUR values. We take it very seriously. I think their initial response was disappointing. It was a bit defensive and late.”
