General Hospital star Chris McKenna (Jack) had a message for fans now that the show has introduced a new villain.

This week, General Hospital fans met Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) partner in crime, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), who also happens to be Jack’s boss and the head of the WSB.

That’s right, Cullum is the latest villain in Port Charles, which prompted McKenna to send a message to fans. After Hawkes’ debut as Cullum, McKenna used X to issue fans a request.

“Meet the sinister WSB Director Ross Cullum played by the wonderful Andrew Hawkes. Andy is a talented consummate pro and a charming guy with two young daughters. Hate Cullum but take it easy on Andy, please? He’s a sweetheart😘 #GH #Brennan #Cullum,” the actor wrote on X.

General Hospital fans show up in the comments to weigh in on McKenna’s message.

“He reminded me of a young Faison. I was waiting to find out he was some kind of distant relative of his. Lol This is getting more & more convoluted! I love it. 😁,” shared a fan. One fan stated, “He's definitely giving creepy vibes. In a good way. Looking forward to this storyline finally unfolding.”

Several fans noted how sad it was that McKenna had to post a message like this.

“It’s a shame that even has to be said and that there are people who can’t separate real life from 'reel-life'. February sweeps
.here we come!!” declared a fan.

Another fan added, “Yes some fans can’t distinguish between real & reel 😂.”

One let McKenna know that most fans get it and he doesn’t need to worry, saying, “Don't worry Chris, most of us get that playing a bad guy or pain in the a$$ guy, does not make you a bad guy or a pain in the backside guy irl. #GH.”

The message came hot on the heels of McKenna teasing some good scenes with a new character.

“You guys don't know yet. I believe he'll be introduced to soon. It's very exciting. They were fun,” he shared in an Instagram video. McKenna added in the social media share that he also had scenes in Jack’s WSB office with a legacy character that wasn’t Carly (Laura Wright).

McKenna has nothing but love for his new co-star, and the feeling is mutual. In an interview with TV Insider, Hawkes gushed over McKenna, stating, “Chris McKenna is my boy. We’re adversarial in the show, but he’s such a good guy.”

There’s a new villain on General Hospital, and actor Chris McKenna has reminded fans that characters and actors are not the same thing.

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
