Jack Brooksbank, the husband of ex-Prince Andrew’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, reportedly felt “alarmed” by a wedding demand made by his father-in-law, the former Duke of York. The news came amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, over their scandalous past.

Ex-Prince Andrew’s wish for ‘procession through Windsor’ alarmed Princess Eugenie’s husband, per author

Ex-Prince Andrew’s demand for a “procession through Windsor” for the wedding of his daughter, Princess Eugenie, allegedly “alarmed” the Princess’ husband, Jack Brooksbank. As reported by The Mirror, Hugo Vickers, a royal author, talked about this incident in his book, titled “Queen Elizabeth II A Personal History.”

According to the news outlet, the royal author wrote in the book, “On 12 October 2018, Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel.” Vickers continued, “This was a happier wedding.” He penned, “It did not attract as much publicity.” The author continued, “And the Duke of York was annoyed that it would not be filmed for the major networks.” He also added, “Though he persuaded a company to record it.”

In the meantime, per the news outlet, Hugo Vickers also claimed in his book that Jack Brooksbank, the groom, felt “alarmed that Prince Andrew insisted on a procession through Windsor.” The royal author then explained that he felt “afraid that no one would be there to cheer them.” He reportedly added, “But Windsor loves a procession, and there was a good crowd.”

Meanwhile, speculation about Princess Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, and their future roles in the royal family has been swirling for quite some time now. As reported by the news outlet, Matt Wilkinson, a royal journalist, said, “I think the King wants her, wants them both, to not pay for the sins of their parents.” Wilkinson continued, “But I’m not sure there is mass public sympathy for them at the moment.” He added, “They’re probably going through a complete and utter personal crisis.”
