England and Argentina's players clashed after Jude Bellingham's disrespectful act towards Valentin Barco.
After England star Anthony Gordon scored a massive goal to put his side up 1-0 in the 55th minute of the World Cup semifinal, Lionel Messi and Argentina stunned their opponents, scoring two goals within the span of seven minutes in the waning moments of the match to give them a 2-1 lead as time ran out.
Though England had its chances in stoppage time to score the equalizer, it was not meant to be for Bellingham and England as time ran out on them, giving Messi another chance at winning his second World Cup, though he will have to face a strong Spain squad.

As Barco and the rest of the Argentine team celebrated yet another come-from-behind win amid incredible odds, Bellingham somehow found himself alongside the winners. The two men then confronted one another, with the Real Madrid star putting his hand on the back of Barco's head.
The Argentine quickly took offense to that moment, confronting Bellingham about what he did. Along with Barco were his teammates, and soon after the quick kerfuffle, both sides dispersed as they went about their ends of the pitch after a heated moment.
Once they were separated, the Argentinians rightfully celebrated the momentous win, singing along with the crowd as they let their emotions out after a tough battle at Atlanta Stadium. What's more, players were spotted lifting Messi up on their shoulders and in the air after he provided the pivotal cross to Lautaro Martinez for the go-ahead goal.

On the other side of the pitch, Bellingham and the rest of England's players stood in front of their supporters, taking in the sights and sounds one last time as their tournament came to an end unceremoniously.

A number of players were also left in tears, as many saw a golden opportunity slip away so quickly.
Fans on social media were also very critical of England's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, for the tactical decisions he made after his side broke open the stalemate. After Gordon's goal, it appeared as if Tuchel opted to switch to a more defensive lineup rather than the one that helped get England into the spot it was in in the first place.
In essence, Tuchel appeared to approach the rest of the match not to lose, instead of playing to win, a strategy that failed spectacularly.

For Messi and Argentina, they will face Lamine Yamal and Spain in the World Cup Final at New York/New Jersey Stadium on July 19. The 39-year-old has a chance to lead his side to its second consecutive World Cup win, if it can overcome a tough Spanish defense.
Meanwhile, England will face France to determine who will finish in third place in the tournament on July 18.
While Bellingham is still young, Wednesday's loss potentially spelled the end of England captain Harry Kane's chances to win a World Cup with him at the helm.
Though he remains one of the best players in the world, Kane is 32 years old, and by the time the next World Cup rolls around, he will be on the cusp of turning 37. For now, he and the rest of the world will have to wait and see if Messi can lead Argentina to another World Cup championship.
