Eli Rallo has thoughts on changing her last name ahead of her upcoming wedding

Responding to followers in an Instagram Stories post, Rallo addressed one question about how she feels about changing her last name when she gets married and whether or not she will

She also touched on how her future children will factor into her decision

Eli Rallo is revealing where she stands on changing her last name ahead of her upcoming wedding to fiancé Avery Tiras this summer. While responding to her followers' questions in a question box poll on her Instagram Stories, the influencer addressed one follower's question about taking her fiancé's last name after they get married this coming June, as well as her opinions on whether or not women should take their husband's last name in general.Rallo prefaced by saying that she thought "everyone needs to decide what's right for them" when it comes to changing their last name, suggesting that people do their own research to decide what makes sense for them. However, going on, Rallo shared her desire for her family unit to have the same last name, though she was adamant that she didn't want her husband to take hers.

"It's mine. Why would a man be there?" she joked.Rallo also highlighted another important consideration that she had factored into her decision of whether to take her soon-to-be husband's last name: her future kids.

"And also I don't want our future children having my last name because I will be keeping them 100% out of the public eye and offline," she then went on to add in her response. "I will not be sharing my children or anything about them beyond first name/ sex. But even that could change. I may end up sharing nothing about them at all."As for why, Rallo had this to say: "I've opened my big mouth enough and linked a lot of stuff they may not want to be associated with to my name. I like the idea of them getting to be entirely anonymous in their lives regardless of where my career goes."She then finally clarified how she would be going about her own name change — keeping her current last name for all professional pursuits and going by her husband's in "personal and private settings."Rallo's comments come after she was recently the center of Internet discourse surrounding another wedding-related topic.A video she made sharing that she had told a bridesmaid they couldn't wear a slick back bun at her wedding recently went viral, racking up over a million views and prompting an outpouring of social media users to weigh in with their own thoughts. Viewers were split, with many agreeing with Rallo that slick back buns had no place at a wedding, while others called her "controlling."

The discourse spiraled so much that later Rallo returned to her account to further address her initial video."This has spiraled out of control to a point where I'm like, 'OK, I'll say something,'" she then said."It's like not that deep. I just thought it was a funny video about the distinction between slick back bun weddings versus not slick back bun weddings," she added, before going on to say that the negative responses she had gotten were nothing short of nasty. The influencer's upcoming wedding to Tiras will take place in June 2026.

The content creator, who boasts over 1 million followers across her TikTok and Instagram platforms, has been sharing glimpses into how the wedding planning has been going, including updates on her bridal shower and how the food and drink selection has gone. While Rallo has been excitedly sharing her wedding planning journey on social media, she's also opened up about feeling pressure to create content for her wedding. In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE in October 2025, Rallo opened up about the pressure she feels surrounding content creation during her wedding — and how she feels like it largely comes from within.

“I know that I could post the worst content ever and it would do really well because the algorithm likes wedding content and they reward that kind of stuff,” Rallo said. “So I am putting pressure on myself to make it good.”
