Things are getting ugly on 10-Petal Ranch.

In season 1, episode 6 of Dutton Ranch, which aired on June 12, tensions come to a head between old colleagues as two scorned foremen, Rob-Will (Jai Courtney) and Chet (Hart Denton), search for vengeance.

While things turned chaotic and violent on her ranch, Beulah (Annette Bening) was busy with Beth (Kelly Reilly), as the new business partners took a trip to Chicago to close a major deal — the first real test of Beth after she offered herself up on a platter to elevate Beulah's business, while Rip (Cole Hauser) runs the ranch.

Meanwhile, the romance between Oreana (Natalie Alyn Lind) and Carter (Finn Little) seemed to hit a bump in the road during a fishing trip. After opening up to Oreana about his childhood trauma — and how he came to be in Beth and Rip's care — Carter said, "I love you," but he didn't get the response back he was hoping for.

So, what happened during Dutton Ranch season 1, episode 6? Here's a breakdown of everything that unfolded.

What is Chet and Rob-Will's plan to take revenge on 10 Petal Ranch?

After Rip fired him on his first day as foreman, Chet was left with an evident desire for revenge, and his answer arrived with perfect timing when Rob-Will showed up at the door of his motel room, having left rehab early.

The pair both reminisced on all they'd given to 10-Petal Ranch over the years, and the rejection they felt in return. "I gave my goddamn blood and sweat to this family. Upheld my end of the deal, kept my mouth shut about everything y'all done, and still y'all throw me out on my ass?" Chet said.

It was clear that Rob-Will had a bigger plan in place, as he egged Chet on, telling him he didn't believe that he had a "coward's heart."

A bunch of guns were then delivered to the motel room and Rob-Will, after threatening the messenger, said, "We'll take 'em all." Later, they reminisced again about their early days on the ranch. "When you washed up here, you were a feral thing," Rob-Will told Chet. "You've become a man since." He said he "knew you had fight" and that Chet would "always have my back," to which he agreed.

"I know we ain't blood, but I'd like to think we're brothers. You're the one I should've had," Rob-Will continued, feeding Chet exactly what he wanted to hear. "It means nobody understands what we've done to protect this ranch, and no one knows what we'd do to hold onto it."

They both agreed that they'd do "anything" and "everything" for 10 Petal Ranch, and Rob-Will again emphasized that the ranch was Chet's "home" and his "family," before handing him a gun and telling him, "We ain't gonna let nobody take what's rightfully ours."

Riled up from his conversation with Rob-Will, Chet arrived at 10 Petal Ranch with a clear mission. As soon as Joaquin (Juan Pablo Raba) arrived at the house, Chet emerged from the shadows and held him at gunpoint.

"No matter how dirty, how s---ty, I did everything you and Ms. Beulah asked," Chet said. "I risked my goddamn life. I thought of y'all as family."

Joaquin attempted to calm Chet down, as he told him that they were "family" and could "figure this out" without violence, but Chet wouldn't have it.

"All you do is talk, Joaquin. Talk in f---ing circles, and backstab and cheat and f---ing steal," Chet said. He then shot Joaquin in the hand, and the gunshot rang out on the ranch, alerting Rip to the chaos.

"You shot me! You son of a b----," Joaquin said as he held his bloodied hand up. Chet then called him a "two-faced piece of s---," and held the gun up to him again, but Miguel (Berto Colon) shot Chet just before he could pull the trigger himself and kill Joaquin.

Where does Rip Take Joaquin After Chet Shoots Him?

Rip pulled up to the house right after Miguel pulled the trigger, and at first, he seemed like he could be another threat, but Joaquin recognized his truck.

"Chet. He didn't take his firing so well," Joaquin explained of the dead body on the driveway. Rip then offered to help Joaquin address his gunshot wound, and Joaquin got in the truck with him, leaving Miguel to drag Chet's dead body away.

While on the way to see Everett (Ed Harris), Rip stopped the car and questioned Joaquin about the dead body he found on his property earlier this season. Joaquin explained that Wes was one of the ranch hands, but "also Rob-Will and Chet's dealer."

"I don't know how long ago it started, but it spun out of control. Wes paid the ultimate price. Chet, too, I guess. I don't know why Rob-Will chose your land. If you ask him, he probably wouldn't either. He's always seen himself like a prince who never became king, so the kingdom be damned."

All Rip cared about was where Rob-Will was, and Joaquin said he's at a rehab facility in Sedona — which is no longer true — and had a job lined up for him next in Botswana. "He's never coming back, Rip. If he does, I'll f---ing kill him," Joaquin promised, and that was enough for Rip to keep driving to Everett's.
