She previously opened up about her love of sartorial experimentation.
Doechii certainly knows a thing or two about putting together a look that not only stuns but shocks. Just take her daring jewel top at the Grammys, her chainmail lingerie, her wild peacock feather top at a recent red carpet, or her epic glittering yellow Valentino gown that reportedly took 800 hours to make. But it’s safe to say that her latest ensemble is her most jaw-dropping work of art yet.

The rapper performed a set at Olivia Rodrigo’s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields Festival on August 29—and she looked more like a rather chic creature from outer space than—well—a human being. Doechii wore a sparkly bra with feathered detailing along with a tiny microshorts no wider than a belt. But it was her full body paint in bright pink fuchsia that immediately made the look iconic. The rapper completed the other-worldly look with high pigtails in her hair and dramatic ethereal glittery makeup.

Body paint is becoming something of a trend. In January, Sydney Sweeney posed for the cover of W in gold body paint and in March, Teyana Taylor walked the red carpet in a dress designed to look like abstract paint on her body.
And this trend couldn’t be more perfect for Doechii. Back in 2025, the rapper explained to Cosmopolitan that her approach to fashion is always about being bold. “With everything that I do in my life, I don’t have nobody in mind but me. I like to fuck things up because to me, it looks cooler that way,” she said, later added, “I like to turn my shirts inside out. I like to wear my pants backward. My love for imperfection shows up in my beauty and fashion a lot.”
