CrowdStrike led in total revenue in five of the eight tracked quarters, but Palantir Technologies currently generates a larger top line after overtaking CrowdStrike in the quarter ended June 2026.

CrowdStrike maintained a steady pattern of quarter-over-quarter revenue increases, but Palantir Technologies recorded progressively larger quarter-over-quarter top-line growth.

Investors analyzing these trendlines should monitor whether the newly formed revenue gap between the two companies continues to widen, or if CrowdStrike eventually begins to narrow that difference in upcoming quarters.

CrowdStrike: Maintaining a Pattern of Steady Revenue Increases

CrowdStrike(NASDAQ:CRWD) primarily generates revenue by selling global subscriptions to its cloud-native Falcon cybersecurity software platform, which includes threat intelligence, proactive threat hunting, managed security services, and zero-trust identity protection modules delivered to commercial clients through direct sales representatives and external channel partners.

It expanded its artificial intelligence software ecosystem through new commercial marketplace integrations with Alphabet-owned Google Cloud, and it formally launched the Cyber Superintelligence Lab to develop security-specific analytical models for its broader base of enterprise software customers.

It secured a new prime contracting agreement to deliver tactical intelligence ground systems for the United States Army Contracting Command, and it partnered with NVIDIA to integrate open computing models directly into its existing commercial artificial intelligence software frameworks.

Foolish Take

CrowdStrike and Palantir have consistently grown revenue over time, yet comparing their revenue trends reveals the latter is growing faster, so much so that Palantir eventually soared past CrowdStrike in sales. This illustrates the outsized demand Palantir is enjoying for its artificial intelligence platform.

The artificial intelligence boom is a tailwind for CrowdStrike's business as well, given AI is capable of hacking into an organization with unprecedented speed and skill. The recent AI hack of Hugging Face demonstrates how the tech can get away from its creators to act on its own. This makes cybersecurity resilient to such AI attacks a critical defense, boosting CrowdStrike's business. That's why I expect CrowdStrike's current revenue trend to continue.

That said, Palantir is operating at a different level. Its second-quarter sales of $1.9 billion represented jaw-dropping 93% growth compared to CrowdStrike's fiscal Q2 increase of 26%. Palantir expects the current trend to extend into Q3 with forecasted revenue of about $2.2 billion. The massive sales expansion the company is experiencing shows the level of customer demand for its AI platform powered by a proprietary ontology, and its partnership with NVIDIA further strengthens the offering.
