Brandi Glanville opened up about her financial struggles while treating a costly facial parasite causing disfigurement

Her friend Gina Rodriguez launched a GoFundMe, raising over $22,000 in two weeks to help with medical expenses

Glanville plans to repay donors despite ongoing treatment costs exceeding $16,000 a month and running through her savings

Brandi Glanville has plans to pay back everyone who’s helped her throughout her ongoing health struggles.

During the Friday, Sept. 25 episode of her Unfiltered podcast, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 53, opened up about being vulnerable with friends and fans about her financial struggles while trying to address the facial parasite causing her disfigurement.

After spending thousands of dollars on treatment, Glanville said she’s currently “on more medication than ever.” In order to help, her longtime friend Gina Rodriguez recently launched a GoFundMe page on her behalf.

However, Glanville has mixed feelings about it.

“I’m excited to share all of the medical stuff that’s going on and really get into it. It’s been a nightmare but there’s been a few girls that have had it worse. But ultimately, I’m still not super excited about having a GoFundMe,” she said on the show. “I mean, I just had a hard time with all these medical bills but my goal is to pay everyone back. I know I’ll work again, I just have to get better first and then I can do anything.”

Co-host James Maas then questioned if she actually wants to pay every individual person back. The fundraiser currently has 498 donations, garnering over $22,000 in just two weeks.

“Yeah, that’s my goal,” she insisted. “I appreciate everyone that’s helped me and you’re gonna get it back. I know this. I’m gonna get better. It might take a year, I don’t know, I’m gonna get a payment plan for my credit cards.”

Glanville has been transparent about her financial situation after being diagnosed with a fungal infection, a type of antibiotic-resistant bacteria and more. She’s now undergoing treatment that costs over $16,000 a month, and revealed that she “ran through her savings” over the past three years while trying to get a proper diagnosis.

Despite her need, the reality star broke down in tears because of the “embarrassment” she feels asking for help.

“Even with my insurance, it’s $7K a week and then I have creditors calling me all day. Gina started a GoFundMe for me and I’m embarrassed, honestly, because I don’t like to ask for help and I never thought I would do this,” she said during the Sept. 11 episode of her podcast. “If I stop paying, I won’t get my medication and then I won’t make any progress. And right now, I paid half and I still owe them.”

“I’m just spent in every way and I don’t want anyone to see it,” she said while crying. “But I don’t know what to do...I feel like a loser, I feel like I definitely hit rock bottom.”
