What lurks behind Charleston's historic charm?
Viewers can find out beginning Wednesday night as Season 2 of Haunted History premieres on WCBD+, taking audiences on a journey through some of the Lowcountry's most famous ghost stories, supernatural legends, and unexplained tales.
Hosted by Tim Renaud and Kristina Lobo, the 13-episode series explores the stories that have helped shape Charleston's reputation as one of America's most haunted cities. New episodes stream nightly through Halloween.
Wednesday night's premiere features Sarah Dean, a tour guide with Bulldog Tours, who discusses one of the region's most enduring supernatural legends: the Boo Hag. Rooted in Gullah folklore, the tale has been passed down for generations across the Lowcountry.

Dean explains the Boo Hag's origins, its connection to local culture and storytelling traditions, and the folklore about how people can protect themselves from the mysterious creature.
Throughout the season, viewers will hear stories tied to haunted hotels, pubs, and restaurants, along with accounts of historic events some believe still leave their mark on Charleston centuries later.
Haunted History streams nightly at 9 p.m. on WCBD+. Miss an episode? Encore presentations air the following morning at 9 a.m., and you can also view episodes at counton2.com.
