Becky G took a daring approach to New York Fashion Week, stepping out in a barely-there Grace Ling look that played with just how little fabric an outfit actually needs. While the entire ensemble made a statement, her slinky high-slit skirt came with an especially risky detail.

Becky G attended the Grace Ling NYFW show wearing the slinky gray Logo Tag Tie Pillar Skirt, which is held up by a single string and comes with a super high back slit. The floor-length piece hugged her figure before falling straight toward the ground. This helped create a sleek, streamlined silhouette.

However, its most striking detail sat at the waist. The skirt dipped dramatically low on both sides, leaving much of the singer’s midriff and hips exposed. A single skinny string extended upward from the center of the skirt and connected to the upper portion of her look, making the skirt appear as though it was hanging on by a thread.

The drama continued around the back. The fitted skirt featured a super-high back vent that sliced upward, adding another skin-baring element to the otherwise simple silhouette. The $990 Grace Ling skirt is crafted from slinky jersey fabric with a halterneck-style tie closure and is double-lined. FWRD lists the fabric as 92% polyester and 8% spandex. Becky G paired the skirt with a matching barely-there tiny gray bra top, but kept the focus on the unusual construction of the coordinating separates. She wore her long black hair down in loose waves and carried a black leather bag.

The minimalistic approach allowed the monochromatic Grace Ling look to command attention. She opted for no accessories except a simple ring. Her glam made the outfit stand out even more. Her face featured bronzed skin, a dark, bold lip shade, and smoky eyes.

Between the plunging sides and minimal construction, Becky G’s skirt brought plenty of drama to NYFW.
