Ariana Madix is checking in on a fellow reality star.
The television personality, 40, told PEOPLE that she reached out to Ciara Miller to check in on her after Miller's Summer House co-star and ex-boyfriend, West Wilson, announced his secret relationship with Miller's close friend and co-star, Amanda Batula.
Wilson and Miller dated during Wilson's first season of Summer House in 2023 and split that December. Batula, who is friends with Miller, split from Kyle Cooke this January after being married to him for four years.
Miller talked about her experience in an April 17 cover story interview with Glamour, sharing that “it's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” but “to experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It's a major mindf---.”
“Sometimes you really don't even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all,” she said in the interview.

Madix told PEOPLE that she and Miller have mutual friends.
“I definitely wanted, especially like early on, to kind of check in and just be like, I love you, and you're amazing,” she said.
“I think she's so poised to take over the world,” she added. “I think she's at such a good point in her career, and she's such a beautiful and amazing woman.”
Madix talked about how she understands the experience of going through unexpected life events.
“Sometimes life puts things in front of you that you didn't expect, but good things come from it, you know, and that's what I'm thinking is on the horizon for [Miller],” she said.
The Love Island USA host is no stranger to reality TV-related scandals.
In March 2023, news broke that Madix's boyfriend of nine years Tom Sandoval had been having an affair with his co-star Raquel Leviss. The situation has since been dubbed “Scandoval” and has continued to lead to developments such as the former couple recently putting their shared house on the market.

Sources told PEOPLE at the time of the breakup that Madix was “completely blindsided” by the affair, remarking that “devastated doesn't even scratch the surface of how she feels.”
"This is someone she thought she knew; someone she planned to spend the rest of her life with. You can't even put into words that betrayal," the source said.
Madix discovered the affair by finding a video of a sexual nature between Sandoval and Leviss, along with a history of inappropriate texts between them.

"Ariana had been there for Raquel when she went through her split with James. She thought they were friends," a second source told PEOPLE at the time. "This isn't something you do to a friend.”
In Vanderpump Rules' season 10 finale, which aired two months after the news broke, Madix explained to two of her friends that she found out about the cheating, which had been going on for seven months.
For her part, Miller is currently filming the reunion of Summer House season 10 amid the online uproar regarding the drama involving her, Wilson and Batula.
Madix and Miller were featured in an April 23 Sonic video highlighting their chill reaction toward the scandals surrounding them.
“So… anything new to talk about?” Madix asks as she sits next to Miller with their drinks.
“Nothing, no new updates from me,” Miller says, stirring her drink casually.
“Nothing? Nada? Really” Madix asks. “No, honestly, life has been pretty chill,” Miller replies.
“That's actually so refreshing to hear because I feel like I kind of thought that, you know, like, things were like, you know,” Miller says, gesturing with her hands.
“No, no, I've been off social media, I've been honestly just drinking my new frozen Sonic Refresher,” Miller says.
“I love that energy,” Madix says. “Same,” Miller replies.
“Let's sip to that,” Madix says. “Sip to that,” Miller says as they cheers, winking at the camera.
Madix, who is set to host Love Island USA for the third time this summer, told PEOPLE that she has been inspired by the contestants' “transparency” with their feelings for each other.
“I'm a very anxious person, so sometimes I'm quiet or I don't say how I feel because I get nervous about if I'm gonna make someone mad,” she said, adding that the willingness of the Love Island USA cast to be open about their feelings, good or bad, encourages her.
The host, known for her standout outfits on the show, said she hopes the upcoming season of Love Island USA is “joyful.”
“I hope that it's joyful for the Islanders, I hope that the fashions come across as a celebration of joy and this beautiful Fijian experience that we all get to be a part of,” she said.
