Jax and Stew of 'Love Is Blind' Season 11 - Netflix
We’re not sure we’ve ever seen a Love Is Blindengagement end this fast! Is there any potential romance left from Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli and Scott “Stew” Stewart’s messy first meeting?
During the first five episodes of Season 11 of Love Is Blind, viewers got to witness the rise and fall of Jax and Stew’s relationship, which, despite many hiccups, did include an engagement. Now that Jax has decided that she does not want to head to Mexico with her fiancé and the rest of the engaged couples, viewers have been left to wonder how it all went wrong so fast.
With the couple’s first reunion in Boston serving as the fifth episode’s major cliffhanger, it’s clear that their story (love or not) is far from done yet.
What happened between Jax and Stew in the pods?
To understand what went wrong after their proposal, we have to take it back to the pods. Before her first conversation with Stew, Jax revealed that looks mean a lot to her. She explained, “I grew up in the beauty industry. I do care a lot about style.” When she met Stew, they immediately bonded over their perfect teeth, skincare work, and more. She later explained that since he is an “old money” guy from Connecticut, she might be too “edgy” for him.

In Episode 3, Stew called Jax “an enigma,” sharing that he hoped to learn more about her. During that conversation, they opened up about their childhoods and reached a deeper level with each other than they had before. Jax also admitted that he had been her top pick for a while, while Stew confessed that he hadn’t felt like she checked all of his boxes until she opened up. That’s when he admitted that he had never been in love before, which was a major red flag for his fiancée-to-be, who worried that he had commitment issues.
Still, Stew proposed to Jax, sharing that he could envision a committed life with her for the first time. He asked, “Jax, are you interested in not only being the most stylish woman in the Hamptons, but part of the most stylish couple in the Hamptons? […] Are you willing to officially become the next in a long pedigree of Stewarts? Are you willing to be my lawfully wedded wife?” Her response? “Sure, why not?”
Why did Jax leave Love Is Blind?
During Episode 5, Jax decided to leave the experiment right after meeting her fiancé, Stew, face to face for the first time. She didn’t give a clear-cut reason why she called things off. However, their awkward first meeting made it clear that he did not live up to her expectations.
When they met in person for the first time, Jax appeared incredibly uncomfortable, nervously giggling through the whole interaction. She also continuously commented on how weird the situation was and kept talking about her ring. She told him, “You’re not really what I was expecting, but it makes sense.”

According to Stew, everyone on the guys’ side was telling him that he looks like a Kennedy (complimentary), but Jax confessed she saw him as more of a Mitt Romney (questionable). Later, she told production, “I think I should go home.” When asked if she wanted to tell him that she was leaving herself, Jax explained, “No. I can’t meet with him.” She also chose not to give Stew any way to contact her after leaving the show.
