According to a report by Rob Shuter, Andy Cohen is cheering on for Tim Gunn to get back on the dating scene, following Gunn’s recent remark on being celibate. Sources claim that the television host has weighed in on Gunn’s confession, sharing his thoughts on the matter.

“Tim worked for Andy when ‘Project Runway’ launched on Bravo. There’s real loyalty there. This is real affection,” an insider stated. They added, “Andy thinks Tim deserves joy in every form. If that includes a fabulous late-in-life love story, he’s here for it.” The source also said, “Zero pressure. Tim is happy. Andy just wants him to know the door is open.”

Gunn opened up about his decision to remain celibate for over forty years on the February 19 episode of the Dear Chelsea podcast. The former Project Runway mentor revealed that a devastating breakup led him to the decision.

“I loved this person deeply and would have done anything for him, and I still remember the night that it all ended. We were in bed watching ‘M*A*S*H.’ It was the first run, and he said to me, ‘I have no patience for you any longer. I want you to leave,'” Gunn recalled.

The author and TV star revealed, “I had been loyal and faithful to him. He was the only person I had ever been with, and this is the advent of AIDS. It’s 1982.” Gunn recalled taking up a teaching position at New York’s Parsons School of Design, a job he had previously declined to stay in Washington, D.C., with his partner.
