Jenny Slatten is giving fans a health update after she announced she was diagnosed with ALS.

The 90 Day Fiancé alum started experiencing symptoms related to the disease in December 2024 and was diagnosed about a year later.

"I'm surrounded by an incredible support system and I'm ready to face this fight with strength and hope," Slatten posted on social media.

Jenny Slatten is giving fans a health update after revealing she was diagnosed with ALS.

The 90 Day Fiancéalum posted a selfie of herself and her husband, Sumit Singh, on her Instagram Story on Wednesday. "I'm still able to walk around and Sumit is still allowed to smile," she wrote over the image of them appearing to be in a food court.

The update comes the day after Slatten revealed that she had been diagnosed with ALS in a joint Instagram post with Singh. "With a heavy heart, we wanted to share [the] news with all of you guys," she began.

"There was a rumor that I had a stroke, but it turned out to be ALS. At first, we tried to keep it private because it’s been very emotional and overwhelming for us," she continued. "We were hoping to find some kind of solution before speaking publicly. But after trying for some time, we feel like it’s time to reach out."

Slatten continued, "Thank you so much for all the love and support. Right now, we are open to any kind of help — treatments, clinical trials, lifestyle changes, or anything that could help treat this disease or slow down its progression."

She also posted on her Instagram Stories, saying that though the news has been "life changing," she wanted her fans to know that she's "doing okay." "I'm surrounded by an incredible support system and I'm ready to face this fight with strength and hope."

Slatten told PEOPLE that her first symptoms for the disease came about in December 2024 when she choked while drinking water. She then began to have trouble swallowing pills and suffered from migraines. At first, she and Singh thought it was an infection and took medicine for it.

A December 2025 interview at a 90 Day Fiancé event that has since gone viral showed how much Slatten's speech was slurred, and fans speculated that she suffered a stroke as a result.

Slatten and Singh noticed fans comments and looked into ALS, which one user wrote about. Slatten's father had died from the disease over 10 years earlier, and after consulting doctors, Slatten was diagnosed with the same disease.

"I don't want to be treated any different,” Slatten told PEOPLE. “Let's just live our life as we have been while we can.”

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a "nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord," which leads to muscle weakness, according to the Mayo Clinic. The symptoms get worse over time, and there is no cure.
